The author does not write for a living nor was he trained in writing or teach it or have any advice for budding authors except to say that probably they should only write if they have no other choice and no other justification is necessary. In fact he doesn’t even write anymore since he asked for and was given The Looking Glass - i say that rather than say “since he composed” since i feel no sense of ownership for that piece, and only feel responsible for it in the sense of trying to get it right, and so can’t help revising here and there every time I reread it - that particular collection came for the asking, having written the Invocations, from some Place in all of us where Poetry and all art and inspiration originates.
