PART II, THE BEVELED EDGE
This section of The Looking Glass has been lost. It attempted to cover the experience of the seeker who is between what Meher Baba describes as the Winding / Evolutionary phase of the soul’s sojourn and the Unwinding / Involutionary phase. I have heard that Buddha described this phase as earthquake lives since the individual is tugged this way and then that way as the chakras attempt to reverse their direction of spin, and so go one way and then another, back and forth until finally the new direction of life becomes stabilized. I thought I might be able to describe at least some of this phase since my life has gone that way - back and forth that is. I never had any intention of trying to address a Part III on the Involutionary phase of life since that’s all hearsay and matters of speculation or conviction as far as I’m concerned.

The body of Part II of The Looking Glass contained 139 ABABABCC stanzas, mirroring Part I in both format and length, however, the rest of this poetry was lost somewhere and sometime along the way. Just as when needed, a door will open, and we should enter, there are other times when a door shuts and we should just move on and not try to pick the lock or break down the door. It is not worth it. Probably there’s a good reason for whatever drops away as well as whatever comes our way. What is old must make way for the new or the new has no place.
